WARNING! Spoilers for Into the Dark: My Valentine ahead.

Each installment of Hulu’s Into the Dark provides an interesting spin on seasonal horror, but there’s typically an entertaining cast of characters and actors that help create this terror.

Not every entry of Hulu’s Into the Dark is a winner, but the anthology series has turned into a creative environment for new filmmakers to help hone their craft. There’s also something deeply appealing at a new horror film being available each month that skewers a popular holiday in some frightening manner. With the success that Blumhouse Television has found with Into the Dark, it wouldn’t be surprising if Hulu continued to invest in the ambitious experiment.

My Valentine, this year’s February dose of horror, is one of the more grounded and cathartic entries so far from this season of Into the Dark. Even though there’s a strong story in place and a wonderfully uncomfortable atmosphere for everything, it’s the cast of this production that really help it excel. Accordingly, here’s a look at everyone that’s featured in Into the Dark: My Valentine, as well as who they play in this Valentine’s Day that gets horribly out of hand.

Into The Dark’s My Valentine’s Main Cast & Characters

Britt Baron as Valentine Fox: Valentine Fox is My Valentine’s true lead and she finds herself in a difficult place in both her career and her life. As a disgraced pop star, Valentine knows that she’s been “replaced” by her former manager and boyfriend, Royal, and seen as the fake within the industry. Valentine used to be very passive in her co-dependent relationship with Royal, but My Valentine takes place after she’s built herself back up and is ready for a comeback. Valentine successfully confronts both Royal and Trezzure and in the end not only has her reputation back, but is more authentic than ever. Britt Baron can also be seen in series like GLOW, Lucifer, and the voice of Tifa Lockhart in the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Anna Lore as Trezzure: Trezzure’s role is surprisingly complex. She’s a deeply vapid character who’s completely fooled by Royal, her manager, and turned against Valentine. Trezzure isn’t as detached as Royal, but his behavior opens her eyes to how broken he is. The saddest thing here is that Trezzure still can’t trust Valentine’s warnings and remains devoted to her toxic relationship until she’s finally able to end Royal. Trezzure claims to believe that kindness and positivity can solve anything, but in the end she can’t let the past lie with Valentine and it’s this selfish attitude that leads to her tragic undoing after she’s electrocuted. Anna Lore is set to break out as a huge star, with previous appearances as Penny Farthing on DC’s Doom Patrol and the CW’s All American.

Benedict Samuel as Royal: Royal is Trezzure’s current manager and fiancé, and Valentine’s former flame. Flashbacks of their relationship together show how he’s prone to gaslight women and exhibit abusive and jealous behavior. He’s the epitome of “fake nice.” He forces Valentine into co-dependence and makes her believes that she deserves it for the longest time. It’s very much a pattern for him as he continues to groom his new “teammate.” He also spins the story of how Valentine was opportunistic and used sexuality to get ahead in the business. Royal plays with fire for too long and his poor behavior leads to Trezzure finally snapping and killing him with a mic stand, of all things. Benedict Samuel can also be seen in his recurring role on Gotham as Jervis Tetch, The Walking Dead, and Blumhouse’s recent Netflix horror effort, Sweetheart.

Anna Akana as Julie: Julie is Valentine’s guitarist, but more importantly, she’s her rock. Julie is always there for Valentine and she was instrumental in helping her find her independence when Royal’s rule was too much. Julie helps Valentine when she feels weak, but it’s exactly because Julie is such an important support system for Valentine that Royal is determined to get rid of her. Julie never hides her disdain for Royal and after she continually gets in his face and calls him out on his bad behavior he stabs her to death, leaving Valentine more vulnerable than ever. Anna Akana has appeared in films like Let It Snow, as well as regular appearances on Comedy Central’s Corporate, and a voice on Big City Greens.

Into The Dark’s My Valentine’s Supporting Cast & Characters

Sachin Bhatt as Eddie: The true horrors of My Valentine revolve around the sordid trio of Valentine, Trezzure, and Royal as they secure themselves in the club for evening. As they try to work out their baggage, Sachin Bhatt’s Eddie is another outlier who begins to grow suspicious of Royal. Eddie sneaks in to figure out the truth, but it results in him becoming one of Royal’s first casualties as he tries to cover his tracks. Sachin Bhatt can also be seen in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Magnum P.I., Bumblebee, and more.

Shaun J. Brown as Nick and Tiffany Smith as Rosa: Before My Valentine morphs into a claustrophobic thriller, the film fleshes out its world a little more with the supporting members of Trezzure’s entourage. Both Nick and Rosa are shown to be fellow musicians with an on again-off again dynamic, but something that they can both agree on is that they love Trezzure and think Valentine is a hack. These characters largely stay on the sidelines, but Nick meets an extremely gruesome death when Royal offs him with guitar strings. Shaun J. Brown can be seen in Future Man, The Great Indoors, and The Newsroom, while Tiffany Smith has had roles in Jane the Virgin, the voice of Hawkgirl in Lego DC Super-Villains, and Meghan Markle in Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal.

Alan Chow as Trevor, Ally Maki as Allison, and Ruben Vernier as Dave: Trevor, Allison, and Dave are essentially Trezzure super fans that shout her praises at the venue and try to befriend her management team. The trio provides some welcome flavor, but they’re quickly pushed out of the club and are turned into glorified watchdogs as Trezzure, Valentine, and Royal require privacy. These characters exist to help show how big Trezzure has become. Alan Chow can be seen in 13 Reasons Why, Grey’s Anatomy, and the voice of Kong “China” Wenge in the absolutely gorgeous, Ping Pong the Animation. Ally Maki was a lead in TBS’ Wrecked, as well as a regular presence on Cloak & Dagger and Dear White People, plus the voice of Giggles McDimples in Toy Story 4. Ruben Vernier has had entertaining guest spots on shows like This is Us, Criminal Minds, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and more.
