Season 1 of this dark comedy left viewers with a lot of unanswered questions, that can be said the same for Season 2. With the answers we got, Insatiable inevitably left us more confused and dazed than before.
With more plot twists, family secrets, and murder than the previous season, there is no way that all of the follow-up questions we have to be answered in 10 episodes. As we patiently wait for the next season to be released, here are 10 questions we need to be answered in season 3.
Will we see more of Dixie’s biological family?
This season we found out that Regina wasn’t Dixie’s adoptive mom. But what we didn’t expect is to find out that Regina stole her from her real family at the Mall of America. With this unexpected turn of events, we finally get to meet Dixie’s brother, Henry, and parents.
Unfortunately by the end of the season, the Lee family has headed back to Minnesota while Dixie quietly reunited with her kidnapper. This left audiences wondering what’s next for this unfortunate family’s fate? Will Dixie forgive Regina? Will she move to Minnesota? Or will she find some happy middle ground?
Will Patty continue to Compete?
One constant throughout the series has been beauty pageants. Regardless of if a contestant has been murdered, gets attacked backstage, or a serial killer is “revealed,” they have added an extra layer of drama to the series. With that being said now that Patty has achieved her goal of spoiler alert becoming Miss American Lady, what will she do next?
As the series title states, she is insatiable. So does that only apply to her murderous tendencies or does that apply to pageant winning as well? Is it possible that we could see Patty on the national stage in these upcoming seasons…we’ll have to wait and see.
What happens with Brick, Patty, and Magnolia?
One main plot point for Season 2 was the romance between Brick and Patty. Unfortunately, as Patty got distracted trying to cover up her abundance of lies, she found herself neglecting her relationship.
By the end of the season, the audience and Patty see a kiss between exes Brick and Magnolia. Distraught, Patty ends the relationship. But this seems to be a pattern between the three. As time goes on their dynamic could end up being a typical love triangle, bring unexpected friendships or even take a dark turn…
Who’s the father of Coralee’s baby?
No one expected that anything would come out of the threesome between Coralee and the two Bobs. The uncomfortable stares and town chatter were expected, but no one expected her to get pregnant.
Now with this new development, everyone’s million-dollar question is, who’s the father? Will it be her estranged husband, with whom she already shares a teenage son? Or her gay best friend, who is also the father of her son’s girlfriend? Either way, it will be one dramatic reveal.
What will happen to Regina?
We already knew that Regina was somewhat crazy from the start. Someone sane wouldn’t have their daughter accuse their pageant coach of sexually assaulting her since she didn’t perform well under his guidance.
Outside of that as mentioned before she did kidnap said daughter, and has now revealed herself to the audience as the Pageant Killer. This leaves us wondering, will she get arrested for kidnapping Dixie? Will they ever find out the truth about the pageant killer and lock her up instead of Bob?
Will Bob stay in Jail?
As mentioned above Bob was framed by Regina Sinclair for being the Pageant Killer, which landed him in jail. Despite him being wrongfully put in jail for a crime he didn’t commit, what will happen to Bob if they find out all of the things he has helped Patty cover-up?
Will he see the consequences of his actions? Will he be freed from the actions he did not commit? Or will he be stuck behind bars for the remainder of the series?
Will Bob & Patty’s mom stay together?
In one of the strangest turns of events, we see Patty’s mentor and her absent mother get together close to the end of season 2. This is a pairing that no one saw coming or even asked for. It’s odd and somewhat random, but the pairing seems to make each other happy for the brief time they are together on screen.
Seeing that they both know about Patty’s dark side and want to protect her they both play important roles in her life. But Bob is currently in jail for a crime he did not commit, and with many other factors, it leaves the audience wondering if this pairing was made to last.
Will Nonnie ever trust Patty again?
Nonnie and Patty’s friendship hit a lot of roadblocks throughout the show, whether it be an unrequited crush, new relationships and of course secrets. Even though they have both had their fair faults throughout the series, Patty by far has taken advantage of their friendship more times than not.
Patty has not been there for Nonnie consistently for a long time and with recent developments with Patty’s inkling for violence, she has continuously lied to her aspiring cop best friend. In the final episodes when Nonnie is putting the pieces together of Christian’s disappearance she realizes that Patty has something to do with it. This realization can only be kept a secret for so long, and the fate of their friendship is a ticking time bomb along with it.
How long till people discover what happened to Christian?
In Season 1’s finale, we see Patty passionately kill Christian out of fear and anger. Throughout this past season, we see her try and keep her secret by texting his family members off his phone and trying to keep Magnolia from remembering what she saw that night. Despite her efforts, some pieces didn’t add up.
Magnolia’s memory was jogged and she promised to keep Patty’s secret for saving her life. But now Nonnie knows that Patty has something to do with Christian’s disappearance, how long will it take for people to find out that Christian has died? Will they ever find out?
Will Patty get caught?
Over the past two seasons, audiences have seen Patty’s violent instincts come to life. The patterns were obvious from the start that she had a taste for blood. Somehow regardless of the circumstance, she always ends up unscathed.
Whether it be the guy who broke her jaw, Stella Rose, Christian, or any of the numerous others that Patty has killed over the past two seasons, somehow she ends up on top. When will that final shoe drop, and how? Or will she let all of the people she loves continuously take the fall for her actions?
