As competition with TikTok has been getting tougher, Instagram this week announced some new features to give content creators even more options when editing Reels. Users will now find a text-to-speech feature, as well as new voice effects in the Instagram app. The company says in a post on the social network that the Reels editor now features text-to-speech, which basically lets you use an artificial voice to read anything instead of having to use your own voice in the video....

An employee-run internal survey at Apple indicates that the company is still facing a pay equity problem among its employees. According to a new report from The Verge, around 2,000 Apple employees opted into the survey, and the results show that there’s a six percent wage gap between the salaries of men and women who responded to the survey. Apple employees have also set up a new website to collect stories from workers at all levels of the company....

An Intel investor with a billion dollar stake in the chipmaker says that it needs to make drastic changes to address its changed fortunes – including attempting to win back Apple as a client. In a statement, the law enforcement agencies said the NPF and Interpol’s National Central Bureau in Nigeria coordinated to conduct the raids in Lagos and Asaba between December 13 to December 22. Some of those arrested are allegedly members of a cybercrime network called ‘SilverTerrier.’ After the raids, police found one suspect with a laptop containing more than 800,000 potential victim domain credentials, and in total, the group was connected to BEC criminal schemes targeting more than 50,000 organizations....
