With iOS 12.3 out of beta as of Monday, Apple is moving on to iOS 12.4 developer beta for iPhone and iPad. macOS 10.14.6 developer beta for Mac, tvOS 12.4 developer beta for Apple TV, and watchOS 5.3 developer beta for Apple Watch are also available today. iOS 12.4 is likely the first software release that will support Apple Card, the new Apple Pay credit card with special features inside the Wallet app on the iPhone....

Benjamin Geskin has tweeted a leaked screenshot of the iOS 13 Reminders app running on an iPhone in the new Dark Mode theme. What’s cool about Geskin’s image is it shows how the same iPad app will appear on a phone-sized screen, collapsing the side-by-side panes into a full-screen interface. It also shows off the new dark theme coming in iOS 13. The Reminders interface sits on what appears to be a true black background....

Instagram today is launching a new feature called Security Checkup, which will help people keep their accounts secure. In a blog post, Instagram says Security Checkup will “guide people, whose accounts may have been hacked, through the steps needed to secure them. This includes checking login activity, reviewing profile information, confirming the accounts that share login information, and updating account recoveries contact information such as phone number or email.” With Security Checkup, users will be able to see if their email, mobile phone number, profile, and login info are all correct and manage each one of them....

Inbox by Gmail, which Google appears to view as a replacement for the popular email client Sparrow, has been very quietly updated, notes TechCrunch, to include a native build for iPad. The app is currently only available in some countries (including the U.S.), and neither the App Store description nor What’s New entry mention the iPad build.
